Woman dies mysteriously, family claim murder in Jammu

Jammu: Following death of a newly married woman under mysterious circumstances at the house of her in-laws in Samba, family members from parental side of the deceased claimed that it was a murder.
The deceased was identified as Sushma Mala, resident of Ghagwal, Samba who was found dead in her in-laws on Wednesday.

“My daughter called me at 3:35pm but during the call I heard noises in the background as if she is being thrashed by her in-laws.
“Her in-laws were not letting my daughter to come to her house she came to us one month ago. They used to torture my daughter and now they have killed her.
“They have badly thrashed her and hanged her also”, said, Mother of the victim woman, crying.
“My sister’s in-laws have killed her, there are wounds on her wrists. Why we should not believe that she is not killed by them.
“Somebody has hanged her as she hasn’t hanged herself. She called us at 3:35pm then someone snatched her phone.
“When we called her again we heard noises in the background that she is being thrashed. After twenty minutes we were informed that my sister is no more.
“My sister was killed at 4pm and we got the news at 5pm by her husband. When we reached at the hospital we didn’t find any of her in-laws with her except her husband.
“I believe my sister is murdered and I want justice for her so that nobody’s sister sees the same fate someday.
“We don’t know why they have killed my sister but they have said that she has committed suicide”, said, Mr Trilok Kumar, Brother of the deceased woman.
