                  J&K: One killed, several hurt in accident

A doctor was killed and six others suffered injuries in a road accident in Kokernag area of Anantnag district of Kashmir today.
According to the report, the mishap took place when a Sumo (JK03B1989) which was going to Vailoo area of Kokernag in Anantag from Desu Now Bugh village of the same district skidded off the road and fell from a bridge, after which one man died on the spot while six others suffered wounds. However, two among the six injured persons have been stated as badly wounded.

After the incident, the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
The deceased is an Ayurvedic doctor who is identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Shapoo, a resident of Zalangam of Kokernag.
