J&K: Man held with weapon by police

The Srinagar police on Thursday held a man with a weapon in Illahi Bagh Soura area of Kashmir’s Srinagar district.
As per sources, the matter came to light when Srinagar police laid a naka at Regal chowk in the wee hours of the morning and on checking they recovered a burgled pistol from a man namely Lokesh Kumar r/o West Bengal, who is currently living in Illahi Bagh Soura area of Srinagar.

“One person namely Lokesh Kumar of Alipurdauar West bengal a/p Elahibagh Soura caught with pistol on a joint naka at Regal chowk in wee hours. He had stolen this pistol same night from the house of a registered license holder. FIR 31/2023 registered at PS Kothibagh”, Srinagar police said through the social media platform ‘X’ formerly known as Twitter.
