Jammu Man Wins lakhs in Dream11

Jammu: In a life-changing moment, a youth from Jammu has won ₹7.5 lakh as prize money from a virtual gaming platform called Dream11. He received the prize money after forming a “dream team” on the fantasy gaming app.

Identified as Ranjit Singh, the youth is a resident of Sawani village of Ramban district  Jammu. The virtual fantasy platform allows participants to choose players from both teams playing a real-life match. The participants win points based on the players’ performance during the live match. Based on the points, the winners get their prize money. Singh won the award after trying his luck during the recent matches.

Talking to media, Mr Ranjit Singh, said:” I was hearing about this game from a long time but with time  I got more information about it”.

“In 2022, I started playing Dream 11 and I joined the game in last year’s IPL session. I bet Rs 4500 in the game and won Rs 7.5 lakh”, he added gladly.

“Last time when I was playing the game  I got  633 rank and won Rs 2800 but now I have come on first rank in all India”, he said.

“I named my Dream 11 team as “Jai Durga Vaishno Maa”, he admitted.

“I didn’t learned the game from anyone  but it was difficult in the beginning for me like where to place the players, bowlers, all rounders on the field in the game” he explained.

“But gradually as we play we get to know the game” , he further admitted.

“I’m working as a National Youth Corps (NYC) here and I want to appeal Governor sir to solve issues of NYC youth and enhance their wage to help them”, he appealed.

“I’m thinking to open my business and I will also try to help poor and widow women”, he remarked.

“When I won the cash prize I told my parents about it they didn’t believed it first but later they did”, he shared.

“I want to advise students to avoid this game cause when can go in depression for not winning in the game”, he advised.

“We are happy for our friend basically I was in Jammu and I called him asked whether you have won money or not”, Ranjit’s friend told media.

“He called me first and told me that I have won Rs 7.5 lakh in the game its such a good news. I’m also playing but I didn’t won anything yet”,  Ranjit’s another friend said.
