Leopard killed dozens goats, injured several in Jammu

Jammu: In a horrific incident, a leopard killed dozens of goats and hurt many in remote village of Lakhanpur in Karroh in Kathua yesterday night.

As per sources, The incident happen when a feline attacked an open makeshift shed of goats in the village belonging to victim Mohammed Jaleel and killed 30 of his goats and hurt many

“At 4am in the morning I heard yells from my goat shed and when I went there I saw a leopard killing my goats”, said, Victim Mr Mohd Jaleel.

“I pelted stones at the feline and compelled it to run away. It killed my 30 goats. It’s very difficult for us to survive now and we are nomads also”, he alleged.

“The govt should help us”, he added.

The leopard attack has triggered a panic wave in the area.
