Arms, ammunition dropped by drone recovered in Jammu

Jammu: The Jammu police discovered a consignment of arms and ammunition from a suspected drone dropped packet in Rakh Barutia village on a railway track of  Samba’s Vijaypur area in Jammu on Monday’s morning.

As per report, The Samba  police found a yellow packet binded by a string in wooden frame lying on railway track near AIIMS hospital in Rakh Barutia village of vijaypur.

After which they called a  team of bomb disposal squad and upon opening the packet they recovered 3 pistols, 6 magazines, 48 bullets and four hand grenades from the suspicious packet, the report said.

The police have cordoned off the area and has initiate a probe.

It is suspected by the security forces that neighbouring country Pakistan was trying to send arms to its handlers and Over Ground Workers (OGW) operating in J-K to carry out terror attacks”, the report added.

However, the police have foiled the Pak’s attempt to spread terror through the medium of air, the report said.
