Elderly man dies mysteriously, Family alleges murder

Jammu: An elderly person yesterday succumbed after he was found unconscious near Residency Road in Jammu under mysterious circumstances.

“Someone has killed my father I don’t know who. He received a call from someone from congress office, he went and someone hit him with a brick here”, Deceased’s daughter alleged crying.

“Even they damaged his eyes, my father’s name is Rohit Kumar and he was 85 years old”, she added wailing.
“I saw him he was just going he was bleeding. I asked him who has beaten you he told me that he knows who has beaten him”, an elderly woman said.
“He was standing near the dhaba and I asked him to tell me who has beaten you so we can do something”, she added.
“I asked him whether you met with an accident or what, he told me that I know who has beaten me, even at hospital we asked him but he fainted”, Victim’s grandson said.
“He was a congress worker and he joined the party when he was 40-50 years old”, he added.
“He was in terrible condition to tell the name of the culprit who attacked him, the perpetrators have even gouged out his eyes”, Victim’s daughter alleged wailing.
“I was going from here then I stopped when I saw a crowd encircling something and when I went close to the crowd I saw an old man drenched in blood”, said Mr Joginder Kumar, a local man.
“His face was not noticeable to me I asked him where you live. He was barefooted and I took him along with me and when we reached Christian colony he said I live ahead of it”, he added.
“A cobbler came and he said I know him and I told him to take him to his house, I asked him what happened with you, but he remained quiet”, he asserted.
“He had injuries om his head and face, he had a dairy with him and he was trying to call his son. This building is a hub of addicts”, he said.
