Jammu, November 12,22: The Traffic police Jammu on Saturday fined an  overloaded Matador with school kids bearing ‘JK02BF9589’ registration number  at Vikram chowk  in Jammu.

As per the report, the matador plies on Trikuta Nagar-Kaluchak route in Jammu and when the traffic police officials noticed that the vehicle operator is ferrying more passengers than its seating capacity they stopped the matador at Vikram chowk’s Gandhi Nagar entrance taking stringent action against it.

“Sir, we were in hurry that’s why we boarded this matador, these kids belong to home.We are from scouts and guide department”, a teacher who was travelling with the students told the media person.

During the vehicle’s inspection, a traffic police personnel told the media person that they  twice asked the matador operator to stop the vehicle and on the third time they successfully caught him at vikram chowk.

“He has violated rules and we will fine him as per ‘Motor Vehicle Act’. He didn’t even paid tax and now we are issuing challan against him, he has to appear before the judge in court for his case”, a traffic police officer said.
