After remaining closed due to landslides and shooting stones at multiple locations, the Jammu- Srinagar National highway has opened for vehicular movement, officials said on Friday.
The Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police tweeted, “Jammu-Srinagar NHW through. Many stretches are still single & intermittent shooting stones still coming. Stranded vehicles being cleared.”
“People are advised not to travel on jammu-Srinagar national highway without confirmation from TCU Jammu/Srinagar”, they said.
In another tweet, Police said, “Traffic plying on Mughal road, however SSG road closed for vehicular movement in view of maintenance and repair of Zoji La axis.”
