            Man attacked with sharp-edged weapons in Jammu

Jammu: Some unidentified persons attacked a man with sharp-edged weapons in Vijaypur area of Samba in the wee hours of morning.
According to the report, the incident happened around 5-15-5:30am today when a newspaper hawker was distributing newspapers just like his daily morning routine near 17 Miles restaurant in Vijaypur area of Samba in Jammu then unidentified goons came and attacked him with sharp-edged weapons.

The miscreants were allegedly trying to chop the legs of the victim . The victim has been identified as  Davinder Singh s/o Sagar Singh (42) r/o Pekhri near 17 Miles in Vijaypur of Samba district.
After the assault on Davinder, he was rushed to GMC Jammu in Bakshi Nagar for treatment where after first aid he has been referred to a hospital outside J&K.
Davinder has received deep stab wounds on his legs. After the attack, the accused men fled the spot. The objective behind this attack is not known yet.
The police has registered a case taking cognizance the matter and a probe has been set into motion.
