Poonch Civilian killings: J&K BJP president Raina met families of victims

J&K BJP president  Ravinder Raina visited the Peer Topa area of Bufliaz in Poonch district of J&K  yesterday and met the families of victims there.

Raina accompanied with other leaders visited the Topa Peer village to condole the deaths of three local residents Safeer Hussain (43), Mohd Showket (27) and Shabir Ahmad (32) who on 23 December were picked up for questioning by the security forces following the ambush attack on two army vehicles in the same area on 21 December, in which four jawans lost their lives. The three youth were later found  dead in the same area.

The internet was also suspended by the security personnel  following the ambush attack by the terrorists which was restored yesterday.

The Indian Army also ordered a probe into the three civilian killings of the Poonch terror attack , amidst allegations of custodial torture by the families of the victims. The Army also shifted three senior officers – a Brigadier stationed in Surankote area of Rajouri, three army officers of 48 RR following the deaths of civilians.

Raina also assured that the justice will be delivered to the victim families.
