UP Man arrested by police in Jammu

Jammu:
A man who is a resident of Uttar Pradesh has been arrested by  his state police from New Plot area of Jammu allegedly over murder charges on Saturday.

As per report, the matter came to light  when a police team of Chandpur tehsil of Uttar Pradesh state’s Bijnor district came to Jammu and establishing contact with Pacca Danga police Jammu and informed them that a criminal who is wanted in case FIR. 918/2023 (murder case) at  Chandpur police station has been avoiding police arrest and they have inputs that the man is working in a local sweet shop in Jammu.

Acting on the inputs of Chandpur police team, the Pacca Danga police station and UP police jointly conducted a raid at a famous  sweet shop in New Plot area of Jammu and nabbed the UP based man who is wanted by UP police over murder charges.

An FIR U/S 188 has been registered against the owner of the confectionary because he didn’t got verified the identity of the UP based accused and didn’t informed the local police that he has given him employment at his  sweet shop and provided staying place to him.

The accused has been identified as Vikas Kumar resident of Jamaluddin Patti village in Azamgrah district of Uttar Pradesh state. The  accused was working in a sweet shop in New plot area of Jammu as an employee avoiding  police action.
