Massive fire breaks out in store in Jammu

Jammu: A massive fire broke out in a store in Kathua late in the night yesterday and  burnt goods valued at lakhs in the store.

According to the report, a big blaze broke out in Neelam General Store in  Jahkbar village of Kathua and reduced  goods to ash kept in the store. The owner of the store has told media that he has suffered loss of 6 lac rupees.

“The fire broke out in our shop at 12am in the night when we were sleeping. After two hours when we came to know about this blaze it already engulfed our entire establishment.

“This shop is operated  by my wife Neelam and she has been crying since morning that her shop has burnt down.

“We have 15-16 lakhs of goods in the  store and  6 lac of items have been reduced to ash. Our neighbours and  fire tenders extinguished this fire”, said Owner of the store Mr Dwarka Nath expressing grief.
