Several shops burgled in Jammu

Jammu: In a shocking incident, several shops burgled in Narwal area of Jammu last night.
As per report, five thefts have been reported in five shops from Yard No. 6 of Narwal area of Jammu where burglars climbed the terrace of a shop and broke into the shop’s terrace door and burgled four adjacent shops also there. The thieves reportedly stole CCTVs along with DVR’s of the surveillance cameras installed in the shops to avoid being nabbed by police.

“This the second time my shop has been burgled. I have suffered the same loss and their theft pattern is same as earlier.
“The thieves have destroyed my shop’s CCTV cameras and have taken away DVRs. We want these thefts to be stopped at any cost.
“We are becoming a smart city but these burglaries point out that our situation is still same like earlier times when there was fear of robberies.
“We can’t say that we can roam fearlessly in this smart city”, owner of shop Sarvjeet Singh said, whose shop Bobby motors was burgled.
