Lal Singh sent to judicial remand in Jammu

Jammu: Chief of Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan Party and former minister Chowdhary Lal Singh has been sent to 14-day judicial remand  and is currently lodged at District Jail Ambphalla in Jammu city in a money laundering case.

Chowdhary Lal Singh was nabbed from a residence in the Chowadi area of Sainik Colony on November 7 after a special court dismissed his anticipatory bail application.

Earlier, the ED had requested for 14-day remand yet was granted seven-day custody.

Officials said that before presenting him before court, the former minister was taken to Government Medical College hospital Jammu for check-up as he had complained of problems related to high blood pressure and uneasiness.

Singh was taken to Government Medical College hospital Jammu for check-up as he had complained of ill health to the ED, where after the check-up he alleged that ED didn’t provide him treatment and his medical tests were not conducted as prescribed by the GMC doctors.
