               Jammu: Unidentified terrorists lobbed grenade

Jammu: A grenade attack was carried out allegedly by unidentified terrorists in Surankote area of Poonch.
As per report, the incident occurred at 8:45pm in the night when unidentified terrorists lobbed a grenade on a temple situated in Surankote area of Poonch district and fled away from the scene.

After the incident, the whole area was cordoned off and a probe was initiated to nab the preparators.
“We heard a blast like sound at 8:45pm in the temple and soon our security forces also reached at the site of scene. There are is also military check post but its sad when such assaults happen foes don’t get caught because they can attack from anywhere.
“After ten minutes our SSP sir also reached at the scene along with army commander and personnel. It is very unfortunate that the our enemies have done such a bad thing by attacking our temple today.
“There was a Uthala ceremony in the temple and thank God nobody suffered any damage. We strongly condemn this act and also those anti-social elements who did this.
“Our temple was never attacked and we appeal to security agencies to search the people who carried out this attack and tried to spoil our communal harmony.
“We also appeal SSP sir to provide protection to us as we are minorities here”, a local man said.
