Doda road mishap took 39 lives, injured several

A fatal road accident has occurred in Assar area of Doda which turned into a massacre and has claimed forty lives so far and injured 17 others yesterday.

As per report, the mishap took place when a fully loaded bus ”JK02CN-6555” with 57 passengers lost balance on its wheels and fell in a gorge at Trangul near Assar in Doda, after which the accident took a shape of a massacre  and claimed lives of 39 people sitting in the vehicle and wounded 17.

After the mishap, the local people, army and police launched a rescue operation and took the injured to GMC, Doda where doctors proclaimed 39 dead and 17 injured, while after taking first aid the more seriously hurt were referred to GMC Jammu.

While the wounded were identified as  Roshni Devi, resident of Kishtwar; Chander Kumar, resident of Kishtwar; Shashi Kumar, resident of Charalla; Ayan, resident of Talab Tillo, Jammu; Arushi, resident of Udhampur; Keyan Shan, resident of Kishtwar; one unidentified baby; one unknown male; Sorab Kumar, resident of Dool; one unidentified baby of 1.5 years of age; Rikshim, resident of Kishtwar; Ranjeet Kumar, resident of Motipur, UP; Sojal Kumar, resident of Assar; one unidentified male; Chander Kumar, resident of Chhattisgarh; Dilip Kumar, resident of Bihar; Mohd Imran, resident of Bihar and Rekha Devi, resident of Barshalla.
