President succumbs to wounds in Jammu

Jammu: Former Bureaucrat Som Raj Majotra and  president of Jammu and Kashmir Bahujan Samaj Party succumbed to his wounds at a private hospital in Pathankot, Punjab on Saturday.

As per report, BSP President of Kathua unit Som Raj Majotra fell down in his home at Ward No.16 in Kalibari of Kathua when he slipped from the stairs resulting in serious injuries to him.

After the incident, he was rushed to GMC Kathua for treatment where doctors referred him to Punjab for advanced treatment after first aid.

Unfortunately, he succumbed to injuries at 12pm at a private hospital in Pathankot, Punjab, where he was admitted following the incident.

“I’m saying this with a heavy heart that Mr Majotra has left has alone. He was the voice of oppressed and poor people. Mr Majotra was a prominent leader”, a man familiar with BSP President, Som Raj Majotra said.

‘He slipped from his terrace stairs at 6am in the morning and went to GMC, Kathua in an injured condition himself.

“Mr Majotra was a mass leader not exclusively of only Schedule Caste (SC) community”, he added.
