Chain-snatchers nabbed in Jammu

Jammu: The Jammu police on Saturday arrested two men and recovered five gold chains, worth of lakhs from them in Jammu.

According to the report, the Pouni Chak police in Jammu busted a gang of chain-snatchers and arrested two chain snatchers men, who were wanted in many snatching cases registered in Pouni chak police station in Jammu and recovered five gold chains from their possession.

The accused used to conduct recce of the area before committing crime. The criminals were working as delivery boys and were involved in chain snatching.

The accused, identified as Nikhil Magazine s/o  Kanhaiya Lal r/o Suraksha of Bihar state and Nikhil Khurana s/o  Gopal Krishan at present Palora in Jammu r/o Suraksha of Bihar.

The police has also seized a scooty (JK02DD3645)  used by the burglars for snatching.

The arrests were made by police team of Pouni Chak police station led by PSI Nitish Khajuria under the supervision of SP Rural Jammu, Rahul Charak, SDPO Domana, SHO Domana, SSP Jammu.
