Authorities bans sale, use of firecrackers in Jammu

Jammu: The local authorities in Jammu last night yesterday ordered a ban on the sale and use of firecrackers along the International Border in Jammu. The district administration issued a diktat in the night to prohibit the sale and use of firecrackers.
Police station Arnia SHO Deepak Katoch sitting in a police vehicle informed the local residents along the IB in Arnia through a loudspeaker to avoid the sale and use of firecrackers in the border belt.

“The selling and bursting of firecrackers in a 5-km area along the International Border is prohibited amidst tension on the border so if any person found violating the govt order they will be punished as per law”, said Police station Arnia SHO Deepak Katoch to local people in Arnia sitting in a police vehicle.
