Two arrested for Obscene dance at Ramlila show in Jammu

Jammu: The Jammu police on Thursday arrested two boys for obscene dance at Ramlila show in Bagh-e-Bahu area of Jammu last night.
As per report, the incident came to light when a video went viral in which two boys were seen dancing obscenely during a Ramlila show in Bahu Fort area of Jammu last night. However, the matter escalated when the Ramlila artists were accused of hurting religious feelings of Hindu religion for showing Tataka in a vulgar way in Ramlila.

Taking serious note of the vulgar dance which was performed at a Ramlila show in Bahu Fort Ramlila ground, the Bahu police held a tenth and a eleventh class boy for interrogation.
“Ramlilas, Jagratas have special significance in Sanatana Dharma which are important for the dissemination of the same and there is no such place for filmy songs and naked dance in Ramlilas.
“It is very unfortunate that two boys who are studying in school have been held for police interrogation when this matter took a serious turn.
“What punishment we can give to these minors if we see their ages. We have told Bahu Fort police station’s SHO mam to counsel these two kids so they don’t do such things in future. We have also taken a written statement from Ramlila conducting committee for the same”, said Mr Rakesh Bajrangi, President of Rashtriya Bajrang Dal.
Earlier in the day the elder members of Gorkha community issued a public apology on behalf of their kids who performed obscene dance in Ramlila in Bahu Fort Ramlila ground which landed them into controversy.
