1 died, several wounded in road mishap in Jammu

Jammu: Another road mishap has occurred in Digiana area of Jammu on Thursday in which one person lost his life and several others suffered wounds.
According to the report, the mishap took place when a speeding truck ‘HR38V3428’ hit a bike ‘JK02CF8691’ resulting in the on spot death of the biker and wounds to many others.

After the incident, the locals helped the victims and took them to a local health facility.
The deceased has been identified as Dharam Chand (35) r/o Phinder village of Bishnah in Jammu.
“The truck driver was driving under the influence of booze, we have rescued six people who were stuck under the vehicle.
“He was driving very fast. He has broken several traffic nakas and cars”, an eyewitness of the accident said.
“The motorcyclist gave his life while he was trying to save girls from the truck collision”, another eyewitness added.
