Jammu: Man wounded in bear attack

Jammu: A man sustained serious injuries after a wild bear attacked him in Mandi area of Jammu’s Poonch district this morning.

According to the sources, the incident happened when a bear attacked a villager when he was going outside to wash his face outside his home in Aadai village in Mandi tehsil of Poonch, resulting in severe wounds to the man’s face and nose.

After the incident, the man was rushed to Raja Sukhdev hospital Poonch for treatment where after providing first aid he was shifted to GMC Rajouri for advanced treatment.

The injured man has been identified as Mohd Bashir s/o  Mohmmada r/o Aadai of Poonch.

The villagers have said that there is a rise in bear attack in Poonch as many such incidents have been happening since several months.
