Rs 30 cr worth EP land retrieved in Jammu
On the directions of Custodian General Rajinder Singh Tara, the Evacuee Property Department Jammu launched eviction drive of EP Land against illegal occupants/ encroachers/ land grabbers etc.
In this context an eviction team was constituted under close supervision of Custodian Jammu Ravinder Sharma and headed by Deputy Custodian (HQ) Jammu Aijaz Ahmed, various Field Inspectors of District Jammu and other officials of the EP Department.

The team was assisted by Revenue authorities including Naib Tehsildar, Girdawar and Patwari of concerned revenue halqa who had earlier identified and demarcated the EP Land under Khasra No 64 measuring 15 kanal and 02 Marlas, situated at Narwal Pain Jammu which as per prevailing market rate is worth more than 30 crore of rupees.
SHO Satwari also provided adequate police force to provide necessary security during the eviction drive which was smoothly and successfully concluded by way of retrieving the EP land in question followed by installation of sign boards all around the spot for information of general public .
The department in the meanwhile has taken this opportunity to aware public in general that encroachment on EP Land shall be dealt with heavy hand and all necessary step as warranted under prevailing law shall be taken so as to defeat ill intentions of illegal occupants, encroachers and trespassers with respect to EP Land.
