Poisonous snake found in Jammu, rescued

Jammu:
A poisonous snake was rescued in a street of a house in Jammu in Green Park colony, Jammu this morning .

According to the report, a venomous snake was spotted by a woman in her street near her house in Green Park colony in Gandhi Nagar area of Jammu, who was alone with her kids as her husband was outside.

After the incident, the panicked woman called local wildlife department and then a two member team of wildlife department came to the spot and rescued the distressed serpent, who had taken shelter in the roadside garden of the woman’s house.

“I came outside and saw swarm of birds flying in a circle in the sky and then I heard dogs barking in the street.

“When I again went to the terrace I saw a long snake in the street and took my kids inside the room fearing the serpent.

“I’m very thankful to wildlife department because they came in 15-20mins and took away the venomous serpent”, said Monika, resident of the Green park colony who called wildlife department after spotting snake.
