Police arrests several vagrants in Jammu

Jammu: The Jammu police has arrested twelve vagrants who were found roaming near ‘Chitta’ hotspots  in different areas of Samba district on Sunday evening.

The arrested vagabonds have been identified as Mushtaq Ahmed s/o Mohd Hussain r/o Talwara Kansipatta tehsil of Reasi, Vishal Saini s/o Sham Lal r/o Chatta Satwari A/P Gangyal district Jammu, Jashan Choudhary s/o Mohd Ishaq r/o Channi Himmat Stadium Morh of Jammu, Saleem Choudhary s/o Khurshid Ahmed r/o Channi Himmat of Jammu, Nanu Kumar s/o Babu Ram r/o Chatta tehsil of Jammu, Ankush Sharma s/o Subash Chander Sharma r/o Dhyansar tehsil Bari Brahmana of Samba, Sahil Saggar s/o Romesh Kumar Saggar r/o Nanak Nagar Jammu, Manpreet Singh s/o Bupinder Singh r/o Jevan Nagar Jammu, Karan Singh s/o Diwan Chand r/o Kanthan tehsil Arnas of Reasi, Suraj s/o Bupinder r/o Sohan Pur District Vishali (Bihar) A/P Bari Brahamana, Joney Kumar alias Joney s/o Janak Raj r/o Joian Nandpur tehsil Arnia of Jammu and Surjeet Kumar alias Seetu s/o Buti Ram r/o Joian Nandpur tehsil Arnia , Jammu.

All the 12 vagabonds were nabbed while wandering suspiciously near Sarore, Balole Khad Bari Brahmana and Rakh Barotian , after which legal action was taken up against the accused persons.

The arrests have been made  by SHO Police Station Bari Brahmana Sumit Sharma and SHO Police Station Vijaypur Sandeep Charak under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana Rahul Nagar, SDPO Vijaypur Rohit Kumar and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.

SSP Samba, Benam Tosh has appealed to the parents to not let wander their children near the drug hotspots as Samba police has intensified arrests of addicts and peddlers.
