                  Jammu: One held with Poppy straw

Jammu: A man was arrested today with 16 kg of Bhukki at Jakhani chowk by Udhampur police.
According to the report, a vehicle bearing registration No. ‘DL3CAS-3697’ which was coming from Kashmir intercepted at Jakhani Chowk in Udhampur district by the police, on checking the car the police recovered 16 kg of Poppy straw (Bhukki) from its driver and he was arrested on the spot.

The nabbed poopy straw supplier has been identified as Mohd Mohsin Bhat r/o Batmaloo, Srinagar.
In this connection, a case FIR No 478/2023 under Section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at police station Udhmapur and further probe is on.
