Jammu: Several absconders declared proclaimed offenders

Jammu: Acting against the absconders, Special Investigating Unit Kishtwar, police launched a special drive today and declared 13 who are nominated in cases of heinous nature as proclaimed offenders by the orders of a court.
As per report, atleast 13 absconders were declared as proclaimed offenders and their properties are being attached by the SIU Kishtwar, District revenue officers and Court magistrate.

The police has started proceedings under Section 82/83 of the Cr PC against the local terrorists for their involvement in terror activities in the past and the order has given a period of 13 days to the absconding terrorists operating from PoK to surrender before law other wise their properties will be seized by the govt.
The local authorities is also announcing the information through the use of drum beaters in the district to warn the terrorists, the report said.
