Jammu: The President of Yuva Rajput Sabha along with other members on Monday held a press conference in Jammu and rejected  the allegations made by Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister against the YRS that their protest was financially backed by someone and the protestors were paid to gather at the Sarore toll plaza in Samba recently.

Addressing the press conference, Yuva Rajput Sabha, President Mr Vikram Singh, said, “We have conducted this press conference to oppose the allegations made by CM Kavinder Gupta against us.

“We want to tell Mr Kavinder Gupta that the Rajput Sabha never bowed in front of money.  The agitation was not only restricted to Rajput Sabha but it was of whole Jammuities.

“The whole Rajput Samaj oppose this and Kavinder Gupta should provide proof that we have taken money to stage protests.

“If the allegations against ‘YRS’ proved true then I will resign as President of Yuva Rajput Sabha.

“Mr Kavinder Gupta should first see his image before accusing others of something. Kavinder Gupta’s party members like MP Jugal Kishore, Mr Slathia, Ex-minister Sham Lal Sharma have backed our step.

“But the people of Jammu and YRS will ask how he can say that our agitation was financed by someone.

“We ask Mr Kavinder Gupta that the allegations he has raised against us was personal or also backed by his party.

“We will burn the effigies of BJP ministers and will stage a protest. The administration has gave us momentum that they will work on our demands after G-20.

“But we want to warn local authorities that we will not tolerate such accusations against us.

Replying to Former CM’s Kavinder Gupta accusations of not giving the toll, the YRS President said that the people of Jammu have been giving toll but they demanded suspension in wake of dilapidated road from Kathua-Jammu and damaged Tarnah bridge.

Answering another media query whether BJP is insecure because of the growing popularity of ‘Yvva Rajput Sabha’ among the Jammuities, he added, ” The masses make heroes and they also take back their support.

“We are talking about the public welfare and not our personal benefits. If public is considering us heroes then it is not our fault.

“The BJP should also work to be heroes in the eyes of local people as they’re elected representatives.

“BJP should remove such people from their party who are staining the party’s name”.

Responding to a media query regarding the NHAI meeting with YRS and J&K Transporters association earlier, another YRS member replied,

“Our members were in prison and we knew the situation that was outside the jail. Mr Kavinder Gupta didn’t said a word in our support.

“Does Mr Kavinder Gupta not live among the Dogras. He should see himself before saying that YRS is a sold organisation.

“How come his daughter become a doctor. His house is den of corruption. The whole Rajput Samaj is upset with him.

“This is a conspiracy of BJP as they can’t digest the unity of YRS, Bar Association Jammu and  J&K Transporters association, Jammu Vyapar Mandal.

“I want to ask honorable Kavinder Gupta that why didn’t he vacate Rs 10 crore property where he is illegal staying.

“He is an ex-cm and he should live like other BJP ministers in his house. He is raising allegations against people who are agitating on the roads.

“If he has strength then he should meet us on the road. We are again going to march towards Samba from tomorrow and will hold a major protest in the upcoming days.

“The YRS is leading the people of Jammu and some are not able to tolerate this. These people become quite on Toll plaza, smart meters issue.

“We will not let them operate the toll at any cost and want all the communities of Jammu to support us.

“The Yuva Rajput Sabha is independent and don’t take funds from anyone”, said, Former President of YRS, Mr Rajan Singh Happy.
