                  J-K: Unknown gunmen killed man

Kupwara: Unidentified gunmen killed a man in Karnah town of Kashmir’s Kupwara district last night.
Police sources said that a narcotics peddler identified as  Mukhtar Ahmad Shah, 42, s/o Lt. Syed Akbar Shah r/o of Panjtaran Karnah town of Kupwara was found dead by a joint team of local police and army in Pingla Haridal village of Karnah area of Kupwara district in the intervening night of 28/29 August in their search operation which they initiated after hearing gunshots in the area.

After the discovery of the deceased’s body by the police and security forces they transferred the body to SDH Tangdhar for medico-legal formalities and after the autopsy of the victim’s body his body was handed over to the family for final rites.
A case has been registered in this matter and a probe has been set into motion.
Preliminary investigations has revealed that the deceased has been killed by some rival drug peddling gang members or the rival terror operatives.
