                   Man, Woman held with arms in J&K

The Bandipora police in collaboration with security forces arrested a man and a woman duo with arms and ammunition on Saturday from Banipora district of Kashmir.
Sources said that on getting specific inputs the Bandipora police in collaboration with 26 Battalion of Assam Rifles arrested a released terrorist namely Shafayat Reshi of Nesbal Sumbal, Bandipora and recovered arms and ammunition from his possession.

During the police probe, it also came to the fore that the arrested terrorist had earlier been involved in a blast in Kothibagh area of Srinagar in 2000, where 12 police personnel were martyred.
During the course of probe the terrorist also disclosed the name of a woman namely Muneera w/o killed terrorist Yousuf Chopan to the police, who was assisting the arrested terrorist to engineer terror activities in Kashmir.
“Arms and ammunition in large quantities were recovered from the duo by Bandipora Police along with 26 AR and 3 Bn CRPF”, Bandipora police said on X (formerly Twitter).
The Bandipora Police and security forces recovered huge quantity of arms from the apprehended duo.
