Govt claims they have given facilities to Kashmiri youth; but they gave only unemployment to youth of Jammu: Mehbooba Mufti

J&K: The PDP chief and former J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti on Monday launching scathing marks against the central govt claimed that they have given various facilities to Kashmiri youth, but they have given unemployment to youth in Jammu.
Addressing a press conference in PDP office Jammu and criticising present regime, PDP chief and former J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti, said, “The govt asserts that they have replaced stones in hands of youths of J&K and provided them laptops, books.

“But we have to visit the jails in Kashmir, UP, Kot Balwal (Jammu), Tihar to counter-check these claims of BJP that have they provided these facilities to youth who aren’t stone pelters and incarcerated in these prisons.
“I want to ask BJP who says that they have stopped stone pelting in Kashmir but they have started the same in the whole country. Is this right or wrong I want to ask them”.
Talking about the smart meters installation in J&K, the PDP chief said, “Today the people in J&K are getting exorbitant electricity bills it is our fault more and less of BJP because we have given them power.
“We didn’t bought lands in Ladakh keeping in mind the insecurities of people there that their culture will get affect, but today after removal of J&K’s special status they are agitating and saying that they won’t let any outsider to settle there. This is the situation of J&K.
Quoting govt’s recent move of granting reservations to different background of people in J&K, Mehbooba, said, “If BJP had a clear conscience they would have booked seats in reservation rather than giving reservation. In Jammu’s RS Pura district people voted for Mufti Sahab, likewise Kashmir Muslims voted for Makhan Lal Fotedar, DP Dhar, Pyare Lal Handoo and made them MLAs.
“We would have supported BJP if they would have reserved assembly seats for Kashmiri Pandits, Jammu Refugees, Kashmiri Sikhs but they didn’t did this.
“They backed those people who pit Paharis against Gujjars, Kashmiris against Jammuities, Hindus versus Muslims and Upper castes against lower castes and now they have also turned Ricksha-walas against each other in Jammu.
“The people of Jammu should think about their future as the BJP has destroyed the country. They have sold all the institutions built by Nehru and gathered vote across country on this.
“They have also collected vote in the name of Pulwama martyrs which Guv Satya Pal Malik talked about then later also on Balakot.
“Mrs Indra Gandhi made Bangladesh but she never used this in elections to get votes they should be ashamed.
“Why everything wrong is happening in J&K whether rampant loot or snatching away govt jobs of our youth”, she remarked.
Replying to BJP’s allegation of Dynastic politics in J&K, PDP chief, said,” The BJP talks about dynastic politics of Gandhi-Nehru family because they are irritated at them. Mr Motilal Nehru called back his son Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in India from abroad to fight against British Raj not like BJP, who appeased Britishers and issued them apologies.
“Nehru remained in prison for a decade for standing against British rule he could have appeased them but he choose not to. Later with the support of Ambedkar, Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Azad Nehru became PM of India in 1947 the country was going through the same crisis the Manipur state is facing now.
“In 1947 Nehru controlled the troubled India and nurtured it that was based on the ideals f democracy, brotherhood, Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb. Later Nehru’s daughter Indira ji managed the country and sacrificed herself for the country after which Rajiv Gandhi also did the same. Now, Rahul Gandhi is taking the lead and he says that he will keep the very soul of the country alive whether he is jailed or his Lok Sabha’s membership gets rejected”, she accused.
“My father and me remained CMs of J&K for some years is that dynastic politics and in our tenure the BJP used to plead us to form govt with them.
“When they didn’t formed govt with us we forced them and formed the regime with BJP in J&K that time. For three years we didn’t allow them to do anything with J&K’s special status and there were no complaints regarding the job recruitments during our tenure”, she said.
“We understand the dispensation’s hatred for dynastic politics but why they support rapists involved in Manipur, Olympic Wrestler girls, Hathras.
“On one side is Nehru-Gandhi family’s dynastic politics and on the other hand is BJP’s rapists. They promised to give two lakh jobs to youths and Rs 15 lakh rupees in every citizens account, where are they.
“The BJP has become so rich and the tax which today the country is paying is imposed by no other country in the world.
“The J&K masses are not getting the electricity produced by the region insteaf but we have got smart meters in our households.
“The poor is facing the brunt of power crisis here”, she limned.
Taking a dig at affidavit filed by the BJP in Supreme court defending scrapping of J&K’s special status, the former J&K CM said, “When SC agreed to hear petitions challenging removal of Article-370 they moved an affidavit in SC which claimed that there is normalcy in J&K and stone pelting has stopped. They asserted in that affidavit that to built AMIIS hospitals, tunnels, medical colleges in J&K they read down the special status of the region”.
“But I want to tell them and everybody know that all these things were made in the tenure of Congress, former govts and PDP”, she further added.
