                 Man succumbs due to injuries in Jammu

Jammu: In a tragic incident, a young man PDD daily wager suffered an electric shock and succumbed to injuries at GMC Jammu last night.
According to the report, the victim resident of Bhaguna in Raya Suchani village of Samba district received a high voltage jolt while repairing an electric wire at Panama chowk in Jammu.

After the incident the deceased was evacuated to GMC Jammu, where he succumbed to his wounds during the treatment.
Pertinently the deceased’s brother lost both of his arms in an electrocution incident earlier. The victim’s late father was also a Power Development Department (PDD). While scores of PDD daily wagers are on strike since past 72hrs seeking regularisation from the govt, the report said.
The deceased suffered electric shock even after power shutdown call taken by the JE who was present with the victim at the time when he was repairing electricity, the report added.
