Jammu Police arrests Most Wanted Woman smuggler in Jammu

Jammu: Continuing their war against drugs in Jammu the Police has arrested a most wanted woman drug smuggler with cash worth lacs from her possession in Bari Brahmana area of Samba district on Tuesday.

According to the report, the Samba police conducted raids acting on their inputs at Balol Nala in Bari Brahmana which is suspected hideout of the accused namely Junna Bibi alias Tunna. However, when the police reached at her hideout the woman drug supplier escaped from her residence and after raiding various hideouts of the woman narco smuggler with hectic efforts she was apprehended within a time period of 72hrs by the police and recovered Rs 3 lakh from her possession.

The woman narcotic supplier has been identified as Junna Bibi alias Tunna w/o Abdul Rashid alias Baggu r/o Balol Nala of Bari Brahmana in Samba. The accused used to buy drugs from Punjab and used to sell in  J-K.

The woman drug peddler used to supply drugs to Samba, Jammu, Udhampur, Kathua, Reasi, Rajouri, Poonch, Doda, Ramban, Kishtwar and also in Kashmir region.

The arrested accused to avoid police action used to operate her narcos network in the night.

The arrest was made under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana Rahul Nagar, SHO Bari Brahmana Sunil Sharma, SHO Vijaypur Tribhuwan Khajuria, Incharge PSI Supwal Deepika Jalotra under the overall supervision of Addl. SP Surinder Chaudhary.

Recently, four woman drug suppliers were arrested by the Samba police.

SSP Benam Tosh has said that they have arrested 64 hardcore narcotic smugglers in last six months and out of which 13 are woman, they are being booked under NDPS and PSA act, the report said.

On 17 July, the JKP along with NCB, ANTF destroyed 6272 kg seized drugs in a Bio unit in Samba district under the pan-India Drug free campaign in the presence of Home Minister Amit Shah and various police officials of Samba police led by Additional Director General of Police Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh.
