Robbers loot cash worth lakh, jewellery from man in Jammu

Jammu: 
A group of masked robbers  in the wee hours yesterday looted cash, jewellery from a man under the railway tunnel which leads to Narwal area of Jammu.

As per report, the incident happened when a man was intercepted by four unknown robbers at 4:30am in the morning  under railway tunnel few kilometers from Vikram Chowk, when he was coming from Narwal mandi.

The robbers reportedly ransacked 1 lakh cash, silver bracelet, purse from the victim.

“I had some urgent work at home and left from Narwal Mandi at 4:30am in the morning. I hanged my bag on my bike in which I kept my money, clothes,cash even my purse.

“As I reached under the railway bridge a man wearing police uniform came towards me and intercepted my vehicle.

“I thought he was coming to ask me the way but the man placed knife on my neck & demanded money. I told him that I have nothing and apprised him I have clothes in my bag as I’m going to home.

“He told me to show my bag to him and coercively took it from me. The bag contained 1 lakh cash, documents, purse carrying money.

“The looters escaped from the unconcreted way. Then I went to Narwal police station and registered a complaint, SI Lalit Sharma sir helped me alot.

“He told me that we will probe the matter. We work at Mandi and 1 lakh cash matters so much for us”, the victim man said.
