1 killed in Road accident in Jammu

Jammu:
A man got killed when his scooty was rammed into the truck on road in Narwal area of Jammu on  Saturday.

The report said that the accident happened when a scooty borne man crashed with a truck on Narwal road, when the  truck suddenly hit brakes on the road, due to which the scooty operator lost control and rammed into the truck and died on the spot.

“We were standing here. A scooty came from the rear then the truck suddenly applied brakes, following which the scooty operator rammed into the truck & died.


“People have said the deceased is Guru Sharan Singh resident of Sant Market in Jewel. He was going home to have lunch after taking break from his shop.

“He has opened a new shop in front of army gate in Channi, where he was working”, a man said.

“The truck operator ran away  after hitting him he belonged to MVD department.

“The accident was very grave and his face is badly damaged by it”, a man, eyewitness of the mishap said.

“He was very friendly with us and we used to spend a good amount of together. He just opened his shop.

“I’m shocked to know this. The truck operators don’t have any sense”, a man familiar with the victim said.

“He is around 50 years old”, he added.
