Several persons attacked allegedly with sharp weapons by men in Jammu

Jammu: A macabre incident has come to the fore last night yesterday  when a Dhaba  owner along with his workers was allegedly assaulted with sharp weapons by men, when he refused them to have drinks in his food facility.

As per report, the incident happened when a Sikh man came to drink beer in Civil Military Dhaba in Jewel, Jammu and when its owner refused to let him drink beer at his eatery, the Sikh man in a fit rage  attacked the hotel owner and his staff with a knife wounding them gravely.

“I was at my house when I got call from Dhaba owner Aman. He told me to come quickly here as some boys have come to thrash him.


“We went there. There was a Sikh boy and a police man. The Sikh man removed his Kada and kept his beer bottle on the eatery’s counter and started threatening him.

“We reached there, pacified the situation and left. After half an hour he again called me and said the boys have again come to beat me, thus we came, the boys apologised and left.

“I came to my house which is near Science college and got a call again that Aman has been thrashed by boys. I came and found all the boys hurt.

“Aman was attacked with a knife. They have badly hurt the boys. Police also reached at the spot and have beaten the dhaba workers, who were stopping the attackers”, a man said.

“He refused the attackers two times. He came and charged at him with a knife”, another man said.

“They kept hitting people on the way. Four of our boys are wounded. We want the accused persons to be arrested.

“As we came to Aman he apprised us to not engage with the Sikh man whom I have refused place here to drink liquor.

“The Sikh man came and took out his knife and stabbed our boy. We caught the Sikh man then police came and thrashed us”, one of the man added.
