Police launches Anti-encroachment Drive in Jammu

Jammu: Authorities in Jammu launched an anti-encroachment drive yesterday strictly warned the street vendors, shopkeepers to de-occupy pavements and establishments near them so that pedestrians don’t face any obstacle while walking.

As per report, the Kathua police conducted the anti-encroachment drive in Kathua against the illegal encroachments, wrongly parked vehicles and street vendors causing traffic congestion and obstruction to free movement of pedestrians on footpaths.

The Kathua police was seen warning street vendors  to remove  their carts or face action, similarly sign boards, food items, accessories of various shops were also told to removed from the footpaths by the police.
