Motivational: Visually impaired girls passed exams with flying colours in J&K

Two visually impaired girls from Kashmir’s Anantnag district  has brought immense happiness to their parents and whole J&K by passing recently announced 10th standard results in  J&K. Facing immense hardships due to absence of eyesight the two sisters has proved their mettle and has emerged as an inspiration for the whole region.

Speaking to the media,  Mehvish Jan, said, “My name is Mehvish Jan and I have got 396 marks in 10th”.

“I felt so glad when I heard the results as I wasn’t expecting that I will get such marks”, Mehvish asserted.

“My teachers, parents and everybody helped me”, she continued.

“First I will clear 12th standard then I will think what I want to become”, she said, smiling.

“My eyes visibility was 75 percent when we made disability certificate 5-10 years ago, now it’s reduced to 5 percent only.

“I’m not able to see anything now. Our teachers stood with us firmly and parents also have a role to play in our success”, Mehvish Jan added.

Mehvish Jan ended her interview by singing a naat.

“My name is Khushboo Jan. I have got 393 marks. I’m so happy with such results”, Mehvish’s sister Khushboo Jan said.

“Every visually impaired person should study I will say”, she added.

“My eyes visibility was 75 percent when we made disability certificate in 2018, now only 5 percent is visible to me.

“I have faced so many predicaments. My headmaster and Iqbal sir and my parents aided me alot”, she claimed.

“We faced so many hardships during our studies”, Both sisters said.
