J&K police soldier honoured, awarded in Jammu

Jammu: A Selection Grade Constable (SgCt) of J&K police on Wednesday has been honoured and awarded  for displaying bravery in Samba area of Jammu. He was honored in presence of several senior officers including SSP Samba Benam Tosh and Addl. SP Surinder Choudhary.

The report said that the Selection Grade Constable (SgCt) Kamal Kishore, who is currently serving Samba police, is awarded cash prize and commendation letter by Samba police for arresting Punjab based criminals at a naka point in Rangoor camp area of Samba, who were fleeing after opening fire at locals there and injured two of the natives.

On receiving information about the absconding smugglers  Constable Kamal Kishore who was deployed at one of the naka points in Rangoor camp in Samba recently showing alertness sheer determination and bravery nabbed the accused persons.

It is said that Heroin of worth Rs 14 crores and costly mobiles were also recovered from the possession of the arrested smugglers.

Admiring Mr Kamal Kishore’s act during the event SSP Samba Benam Tosh said that being punctual, dedicated towards his duty when Mr Kamal Kishore got a chance he jeopardise his life and caught the smugglers, he didn’t even gave them a single chance to use their weapons.

Tosh has also apprised and recommended Police headquarter Samba to gave another award to Constable Kishore there.

SSP Samba has encouraged the Samba police personnel that they will be re-awarded handsomely if they display bravery in apprehending criminals.
