Deaf & Mute siblings cleared exam with flying colours in J&K

Hearing and speaking disability has not deterred two brother sisters, Bisma Jan and Ehsaan, from their journey in pursuit of excellence. Their self-learning, hardwork and perseverance finally paid off and they came out in flying colours in the very recently released matriculation results by JKBOSE.

The brother & sister duo belong to Hassan pora area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, who have been raised solely by their elder brother Owasi Ahmed Ganai as their parents passed away in 2012.

Owais Ahmed Ganai their elder brother has played a crucial role in his younger siblings upbringing, education, and nutrition.

Conversing with the media, Owais, said, “I’m Owais Ahmed Ganai from Hassan pora. I’m so glad when their result came out yesterday”.

In  a sign language their brother asked his siblings how much marks they got in their 10 class result in presence of media and one by one they expressed in sign language , first Ehsaan expressed he got 361 marks and then Bisma Jan expressed 398 marks out of 500.
