Miscreants snatch elderly woman’s jewellery in Jammu


Jammu: Miscreants snatched the gold earring of an elderly woman while she was walking in Lower Shiv Nagar ward of Kathua yesterday evening.

According to the report, the snatching took place when the woman was sauntering in the Lower Shiv Nagar ward of Kathua then two bike-borne men came and snatched her gold earring.

“I was walking with children then two men came on bike and snatched my gold earring. I have never seen them”, said  the victim, Darshana Devi.

“He snatched my earring but I’m not hurt people came outside when I raised the alarm”, she explained.

“There were two people of 18yrs age and they were wearing masks, they snatched the earring and fled away”, a woman said.

“I was standing here when the incident took place it can be checked in the CCTV cameras installed in the Gurudwara”, a local man said.

“This should not happen this is a big ward and women go outside in the evening for walks”, he added.

“These incidents are increasing here and authorities also know them they are drug addicts. We have called police and they have not arrived yet”, he accused.
