Jammu: Houses of terrorists raided by police

Jammu: The Special Investigation Unit on Wednesday raided houses of five terrorists in Kishtwar area of Jammu.
As per sources, the five houses which were raided belongs to terrorists who are residents of Kishtwar and are currently operating from Pak-occupied Jammu & Kashmir (POJK).

There are total 36 such terrorists from Kishtwar district of Jammu divison, who are residing in (POJK) currently. Recently the Kishtwar District police got arrest warrants against them from NIA court and today’s raid is in that connection.
“Our Special investigation Unit (SIU) is specially formed to deal with UAPA cases, there are two cases in their probe one is under FIR NO. 272/ 32 at Police station Kishtwar”, SSP Kisthwar police Khalil Poswal briefed media about the SIU raids.
“These cases are registered against terrorist who are in Pakistan, ten days ago we availed arrest warrants from NIA and were sent to inter court”, he said.
“Subsequently, we got search warrants from NIA court against those people in Kishtwar, who are currently living in Pak”, he added.
“Since morning our five teams of SIU were conducting probe in the houses of terror accused, they are Shahnawaz Kant alias Mulla , Nahiem Ahmed alias Ghazi, Mohd Iqbal alias Bilal, Shahnawaz alias Nai, Jawed alias Muzamil of Kishtwar”, he apprised.
“The searches of SIU which was going on since morning in the houses of these native terrorists have been completed”, he remarked.
“The incriminating material which is recovered during the raids have been seized by us”. he said.
“We will keep this evidence on record to ensure their judicial arrest that they were involved in radicalization and perpetuation of crime here”, he asserted.
