Missing girl found with police officer in Jammu

Jammu: The Jammu police on Wednesday found a minor girl with a J&K police officer in a hotel room in Jammu, who went missing.

According to the report, the Bahu Fort police received a written complaint from the girl’s family stating that their minor daughter had gone missing recently.

Upon this information, a missing complaint under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and an investigation was set into motion, the report said.

After that a police team headed by  Bahu Fort Police station SHO Arti Thakur was formed  to trace out the minor missing girl.

The police team, acting swiftly, raided some locations in Jammu. After strenuous efforts the police team traced out the missing minor girl from a hotel with a Sub-Inspector around 2:30-3:00am late in the night today.

The police is investigating the case and is trying to find out whether the girl is a minor or not.

While the accused Sub inspector was arrested by the Bahu Fort Police station SHO Arti Thakur and has been booked under relevant sections of the POSCO act.

However, the medical examination of the recovered girl is being conducted and a probe has been set into motion into the matter  to ascertain the reason of her disappearance.
