Jammu: Man killed Father, attacked family members

Jammu: A hair raising incident has come to light in which a man allegedly killed his father and also attacked his family members with an axe in Tehsil Bhamag of Kotru block in Reasi yesterday.
As per report, the family members has said that the incident happened when the father and the son duo went to their home under the influence of alcohol in the night, later a heated argument took place between the two and in a fit of anger the son took the axe and attacked his father killing him on the spot.

However, when the accused son was assaulting his father with the axe he also attacked his brother, who came to the rescue of the victim father and the culprit’s 10-12 year old, but he is fine now.

After the incident the police reached at the crime scene and sent the body to the hospital for autopsy.
The deceased had been identified as Banta Singh,55, while his son was identified as Karnail Singh both residents of Tehsil Bhamag, Kotru block of Reasi.
After murdering his father the accused fled from the spot of crime.
“Daddy has consumed poison I asked my brother how he can die like this as no one ever beaten him”, Brother of the criminal shared details of the conversation with media he had with his brother on phone.
“I disconnected the call and went to home then talks with family members continued, we used to advise him not to drink liquor, but he never listened”, he said.
“We used to report and police used to take but it didn’t help”, he added.
The police has registered a case and probing the matter.
