Jammu Youth creates history by winning Gold medal

Jammu:
Bhanu Pratap Singh, a world-class Wushu athlete from Jammu, has added jewels  to the name of the country and the union territory popular by retaining the Gold medal in Moscow in the Wushu Championship.

Expressing his happiness in an exclusive interview with JK media, Mr Bhanu said, “The match was very tough before it I called my guru Mr Kuldeep Handoo that I’m going to face the finals”.

“He told me to be worry free and fight easily as we know you will win cause we had good training in Patiala with our coach Rajesh Tailor”, he said.

“Now, currently I’m pursing coaching under Kuldeep Handoo sir and with God’s grace I won the one-sided competition”, he expressed.

“When one trains for an year and when we are to fight a world-level fighter we get this feeling, but we’re also getting  world class equipments to aid us in our sport”, he claimed.

“Our support secretary mam helped us so much  and provide us international equipments which has supported us, now the training level in J&K is getting high, we also recently won three gold medals”, he asserted.

“In the coming times, the J-K Wushu team can also be included with the national team. I thank the whole J-K as many has encouraged and shower their love on me”, he added.

“I ask people to pray for me before going to competitions as we never know whose blessing will works for us”, he asserted.

“We should take part in sports as recently even our prime minister campaigned for it, sports activities should continue as it gives us many things”, he elucidate.

“The govt has made a sports policy and our withheld appointment of govt job which govt promised us will soon be fulfilled”, he said.

“The governor sir talked about our appointments with the prime minister during the ‘Mann ki Baat’ program, Chandeep met with him we were outside”, he added.

“If we are given jobs then this step will motivate other parents to encourage their children to participate in sports, the process in going on”, he commented.

“In the upcoming Asian games event we will again make our J-K proud, our coach Kuldeep Handoo ji is putting all his efforts in our training, recently he fell ill”, he further said.

“He is the first Dronacharya award winner from J&K, he is training us. He was unwell and arrived yesterday, but told us that he is sick and our training schedule will start from tomorrow”, he said.

“On 25th, we have our trail and then on 5th June we will go for India games. We are all focused on our sport as we have foreign trainings, World championship, Asian games, compact games and Portugal games in Goa, South-Asian games and World championship in US and we’re preparing for it”, he explained.

“This is our big dream to see Bhanu getting what he deserved, it’s natural for parents to feel proud if their kid won medals”, Bhanu’s mother said.

“The authorities have not made their promise how we can believe them. The govt told us that my son will be appointed as Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP), but they have not done anything”, she added.

“I want to ask local govt that if they have told my son that they will appoint him as DySP for his achievement, at least they should  fulfill their vow”, she stressed.

“If they can’t provide him the job personally as promised then they should give him as per the govt policy as it is in existence now. I appeal to LG sir to find a solution of this and pay heed to children as they’re very disappointed”, she alleged.

“The matter is in pipeline but what’s the fun of this sports policy if it is not being implemented, we also have to marry our kids”, she accused.

“Sometimes it’s hurt and it feels that our children should not play from J-K, I appeal to PM sir also to pay heed to our matter”, she said.
