Kids caught on CCTV stealing from temple in Jammu

Jammu:  From men to women breaking in temples in Jammu to carry out thefts, in a freak development two kids have been captured on CCTV stealing cash and mobile from a temple situated in Bakshi Nagar area of Jammu, joining the ranks of their adult counterparts yesterday.

As per the report, the theft happened when the priest went outside the sanctum, after which two kids came and stole cash and mobile phone from Sri Durga Mandir temple in Bakshi Nagar, their act have been caught on the CCTV cameras installed inside the sanctum.

“I went outside and when I returned the theft had taken place. No, I have never seen the kids before”, said, Temple’s Priest Ram Manoj Tiwari.

“They have burgled my mobile and have stolen cash from Narayan Mandir, I don’t know the stolen amount”, he added.

“Their parents should correct their children. For three  days my mobile was active then it switched off, I have been here since 3-4 days”, he said.

“This is the first time I have seen children burgling. I want my phone back it is of 5-6K worth”, he remarked.

“This is wrong and it will leave a bad impression on children, what kind of life they will live in future”, said, Mr Vikram Sharma, a local man.

“Their parents should consult and should inquire them from where they got the mobile. No, this is the first time I’m seeing kids stealing”, he said.
