J&K: Two terrorists killed by security forces

Jammu: Two terrorists have been killed belonging to LeT (Lashkar-e-Toiba) terror group in Baramulla area of Srinagar on Thursday.

As per sources, Two terrorists of LeT who were residents of Shopian of Kashmir were killed in a retaliatory fire, when a joint search party of Srinagar police and security forces were searching a house in Baramulla.

The police has said that they have recovered 1 AK 47 rifle, 1 Pistol from their possession.

“On getting this input that two terrorists affiliated with LeT are present here to carry out terror activities, a joint cardon and search operation was launched (CASO) with SSP Srinagar and 29 RR”, SSP Baramulla, Amod Ashok Nagpure said on the sidelines of the culminated operation in Baramulla.

“During the search some terrorists opened fire from a house at our search parties and in  retaliation 2 terrorists were killed”, he added.

“They belong to Shopian and 1 Ak 47, 1 pistol is recovered. We have registered an FIR and have started a probe”, he said.

“We will share more details later with the media”, he remarked.
