Police arrests thieves, recovers stolen items in Jammu

Jammu: Continuing its surgical strike against crime in Samba the police has arrested three thieves and recovered stolen items from their possession yesterday.
The arrested thieves have been identified as Manzoor Ahmed alias Papu of Samba, Parshottam Lal, son of Devraj of Samba and Subash Sharma, son of Triyogi Sharma of UP at present, Samba.

Among the two arrested burglars one was a notorious chain snatcher in Samba. There were cases registered against the thieves under sections 382,379 of the IPC in Sidco police post of Samba.

Acting on the complaints the Sidco police post Incharge PSI Deepika Jalotra headed by SHO PS Samba, Rajeshwar Singh under the supervision of DySP, Bharadwaj under the overall supervision of Additional SP Samba, Surinder Choudhary nabbed the culprits.
The Sidco police station has been receiving complaints of thefts in the area and there was also a complaint by the J-K Forest dept of stolen items from their department, which have also been recovered by the police.
Samba Police has shared a data that in their intensive drive against crime they have apprehended 74 thieves in samba district and have solved 39 theft cases in three months.
