Success Story: Auto Driver’s son Became officer in Jammu, Leaving Many Inspired

Jammu: Mr Yashpal who drives an Auto  has become an inspiration to many in Jammu as he has struggled a lot to teach his kid and reached where he is now.

Mr Yashpal ,a resident of Bahu Fort in  Jammu, has shared his son’s success story how he contributed being an auto driver to teach his son and made him a Deputy superintendent of police (DySp), when his child qualified the famed JKAS exam recently.

Mr Yashpal has said that he and especially his wife has contributed a lot in getting to this point in life. In order to educate Mr Ravinder who qualified JKAS, his father and mother made many sacrifices.

In an interview with JK Media’s Senior Journalist Mr Ashish Kohli, Mr Yashpal, said, “I never thought that me and my son will reach such heights”.

“We have both done hard work, but the major contribution of his achievement goes to my wife”, he asserted.

“I use to leave in the morning and return at dusk, my wife is the one who looks after the kids”, he added.

“Sometimes I only make 100-200 a day driving the auto, but I never used to share my woes with my children as I don’t want them in stress”, he said.

“Yesterday my son joined he will be appointed as Dysp, he qualified KAS. I am so glad and my friends also, they have been wishing me since morning”, he remarked.

“We’re  blessed by Bawe Wali Mata ji as she has given us many things. My wife use to visit the temple several times to seek Mata’s blessing”, he said.

“I’m so glad as nor even in my dreams I thought that my son will have such a big post”, he added further.

“I want to say that no job is small and teach your kids if they will be happy and then parents will also be”, he claimed.

“We should give good food, clothes to our kids or else they will go outside to eat fast food, they can also become addicts if they don’t get good things from their parents”, he said.

Interrupting Mr Yashpal during the interview, Mr Kohli said, “My father was also an auto driver, I’m also an auto driver’s son”.

Responding to Mr Ashish’s reply, Mr Yashpal, said, “I was very well familiar with your father, I know he used to drive an auto”.

“I’m thankful to Mr Ashish Kohli who came and talked to me”, he said.
